| Absolutely. The game will be very easy to learn, and a lot of fun for anyone who enjoys strategy games. But if you have not read the books, you are forbidden to ask the following questions:
1. Why don't these ships have wings?
2. Why does it take so long to turn them?
3. Can mine be shaped like that Romulan ship in the new movie? |
| I have a job and a significant other/children/needy pets plus obligations to bowling/knitting/fantasy baseball. How much time will this game take to play? |
| HTG is specifically designed to reward skillful strategy, not just quantity of time spent online. There is no farming in this game. |
| What happens to my colony when I'm not online? |
| It's still there, and your staff and fleet carry out your orders (mostly) in your absence. if something important comes up, they will probably email you. You will also receive holocordings of battles for your review, and you may post them online. |
| Will we be able to play characters from the books? |
| No. You may run into some familiar NPCs in the game, but you will be the leader of a new colony and responsible for its growth, defense and prosperity. |
